Simon Roberts Music is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide information by which you can be identified when using this website, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
What we collect
This website does not contain any forms and does not ask you to create an account. You can browse the site without providing any personal information.
If you choose to contact us by email or through social media, we will hold the information you send us, which will typically include:
- Your name and email address
- The content of your message and any details you include about your enquiry, event or project
- Any later correspondence between us
How we use your information
We use the information you give us only for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiry
- To arrange and carry out any performance, musical direction, arrangement or composition work you ask us to undertake
- To keep a record of our correspondence and any resulting work
We process this information on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, where you engage Simon’s services, in order to carry out our agreement with you. We will not send you marketing emails unless you have asked to receive them, and you can withdraw that request at any time.
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence for as long as is necessary to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows from it, and for as long as we are required to keep business records by law. We do not store or share credit or debit card details.
Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we hold.
Cookies and third-party content
A cookie is a small file placed on your device by a website. This website does not set cookies of its own and does not use analytics or advertising cookies.
Some pages include content from third parties, which may set their own cookies or collect data under their own privacy policies:
- YouTube videos. Sample music is embedded using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which does not store cookies until you play a video. Once you play a video, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and collect usage data.
- Google Fonts. The typefaces used on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google’s servers.
- Facebook. Links to Simon’s Facebook page take you to Facebook, which has its own privacy policy.
You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline them if you prefer. This may prevent embedded videos from playing.
Links to other websites
Our website contains links to other websites of interest, such as YouTube and Facebook. Once you have used these links to leave our site, we do not have any control over that other website. We cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information you provide whilst visiting such sites, and they are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
Your rights
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct any information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Ask us to delete your information, or to restrict how we use it
- Object to our use of your information, including for any marketing
To exercise any of these rights, please email Jazztog@gmail.com. We will respond as soon as possible and in any case within one month. If you believe that any information we are holding about you is incorrect or incomplete, please let us know and we will promptly correct it.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
